He got small recognition for a video about Thrill Kill in May of 2018, which was later featured and credited in Matt McMuscles ' What Happened?' video about the same game. He later changed his username to Avarice in 2017, this time being chosen as a reference to a Ritual Spell from the Real-time Strategy game, War for the Overworld. The username was inspired by a song from the The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Soundtrack. The channel was created in 2014 and was originally called Caprice, that was created purely for fun to show videos of games which he had been completing since the channel's creation.
